The dry-farmed vineyard gave extremely low yield and produced a wine of wonderful drinkability and very low alcohol that gives it great freshness on the palate and makes it a perfect accompaniment to food. On the nose there are hints of violets, bay leaf, sage, cinnamon, leather, star anise, and cranberry, strawberry and raspberry. . The palate has vibrant and bright fruit, plums, strawberries and cherries. Finishes with good length.

A high plains drifter from the vast Stagecoach Ranch. The vineyard sits at a cool 1500 feet, but faces South West and gets the sun ALL DAY making it ideal for Grenache, which ripens late and resists heat well. Even in hot years the fruit comes in bright and firm, alive and basically bad ass. … The 2022 shows tobacco, cherries, strawberry, plum and star anise, vanilla, juniper and peppercorns, caramel. The attack is rich yet remains fresh, tannins are very soft and plush with fig, clove, toffee and plum. Massive structure, beautiful weight and finish.

The 2022 vintage of our estate blend is more expansive, seductive and mind-blowing than ever. The varietals play off of each other in luscious, saturated layers - perfectly mixing fruit and floral in a rich, rounded packet. Iris, chocolate, espresso and violets on the nose. Mid-palate tannins meld to cherries, iris, blueberry, blueberry, tobacco and crushed rock. Full-bodied but balanced with a rich, long finish.

As an unabashed lover of Cabernet Franc this is really the crown jewel of our beautiful Mt. Veeder estate. This wine is incredibly aromatic. The 2021 is dark blue tinged purple hews, with notes of wild blueberry, boysenberry pie, cigar box, iris, chocolate, espresso and violets on the nose. Notes of violet, lavender, cherry, blueberry and plum in a rush of rich attack leading to plums, tobacco and crushed rock in a black truffle finish. Taut, muscular fruit has a long, rich finish.
